Beauty by Daniel: Refresh Your Makeup

The Tig Archives 01 / 15 / 2015

He’s at it again – my favorite makeup guru, celebrity face painter Daniel Martin for the win! I’m not sure about you, but my makeup bag needs an overhaul – after months of accumulating more and more stuff, I always try to go back to the basics. Or at least the essentials. Because heaven knows schlepping a heavy bag of products around in your purse is oh-so very 2014. Time to clean up shop, and my dearest Daniel has given us a superlative list of splurges and necessities to keep your skin and face feeling as pretty as a peach. Thanks, my sweet!

FROM DANIEL:

“As we all make our new years resolutions to eat better and hit the gym, why not also take the steps to refresh and revamp your beauty essentials. Here are my seven tried and true favorite products to experience now in the new year!”

  1. Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour
  2. When you want a punch of color but your lips are so dry they can’t handle lipstick, this is the next best thing. It goes on like a lipgloss but with intense pay off. If you’re not into the sheen, blot with a tissue and you’ll have a matte opaque finish instead.

  3. Darphin Redness Relief Soothing Serum
  4. The natural botanicals in this serum calms and soothes the skin. I layer this before my moisturizer for added hydration and calming my parched skin. It’s great as an after sun product as well.

  5. Dior Nude Air Serum Foundation
  6. My new obsession. Light as air and great balanced coverage! Use this with your fingers and you’ll feel how light the texture is, all the while still giving you controllable coverage all over. It’s a fantastic product for someone who needs a bit of coverage but new to wearing foundation and a little bit goes a long way!

  7. La Mer The Treatment Lotion
  8. This product can stand on its own during the summer months and it’s also the perfect companion for double duty hydration in the colder months. This lotions also locks foundation down and acts as a primer for oily skin.

  9. Giovanni D:tox System Purifying Facial Mask
  10. This stuff draws out impurities without leaving your skin tight like other clay masks. I like to wear this in a hot steamy shower for five minutes. Afterwards, my skin feels refreshed, super clean and never dry.

  11. Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint
  12. For those who need a bit more coverage but still want the feeling of a rich moisturizer, this is perfect. It leaves you with that “fresh-from-the-spa” radiance without looking like you’re wearing too much foundation. Every girls dream, right!?

  13. Dior Kingdom of Colors Palette
  14. A true artist palette! This covers everything for eyes, lips, complexion and cheeks in one transportable clutch. Plus—it’s simply stunning! Look at this as pure color for your face.
