Nori Rolls

So you want to eat clean, but you don’t want to feel bored. You’re trying to cut down on the carbs, but miss the bite and chew of a sandwich. I used to be right there with you, and then I started making nori wraps. I know if you are mid bite with a chicken parm sandwich, a sheet of seaweed wrapped around some veggies and protein will likely pale in comparison. I get it. BUT if you are just looking for other healthy intros to your diet, this is one of my favorites without question. They are beyond easy to make, they have that briny seaweed flavor and texture that I relish in the sushi that you know I love so much, but they also change up the whole salad thing so I feel like less of a rabbit and more like a foodie.

*My only tip is to lightly wet the nori or it will start to tear (think wet your fingers and splash it on the seaweed so that it softens but doesn’t get wet per se), then build your wrap….spread the spread, layer your veggies, keeping them tightly packed in the center of the roll, perhaps a squirt of sriracha, and roll up your wrap.

Simple, healthy, delicious, and great on the-go. Plus, you can feel guilt free when you have that burger later in the week. It’s all about the balance, friends!
