The Tig Archives 07 / 22 / 2015
We all know our love for makeup guru Daniel Martin runs deep. Each month he shares his #TigTips for effortless beauty, and his behind the scenes secrets for red carpet worthy skin. This month he’s back to basics with the tools that help to create a flawless finish, so that you always look and feel va-va-va-voom. Three cheers for Daniel!
From Daniel:
As a makeup artist, my mantra has always been, “its not what you use, but how you use it.” You don’t need the fanciest and most expensive makeup to get the job done, and that goes along with makeup brushes as well. For anyone who applies makeup, brushes are merely the tools to make your application easier and more effective.
I’ve listed six of my favorite brushes that everyone should either have, or want to add to their collection.
- It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Double Airbrush Foundation Brush
- Sigma Beauty E38 Diffuse Crease Brush
- Dior Eyeliner Brush No.24
- Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Brush
- Real Techniques by Sam & Nic Chapman Expert Face Brush
- Senna Cosmetics Airbrush Blender
This is one of my favorite foundation brushes because it gives an even finish on the skin. Start in the middle and swirl your way out. One pump of your favorite foundation and with this brush, covers your entire face!
The perfect brush to add more dimension to the eyes. Creates depth and shading without a harsh line.
Use this brush pressed into the lash line to create definition. I sometimes use this brush to line the lips as well.
This brush is great to conceal pimples, dark circles and more attention to details on the face.
Many uses with this brush from full foundation to contouring. Plus at under $10, it’s an absolute steal!
I love this brush to diffuse cream blushes on the cheeks. This is also great to use with sheer formula foundations.
