Beauty by Daniel: Stocking Stuffers

The Tig Archives 12 / 17 / 2014

I’m not sure about you, but some of my fondest holiday memories aren’t simply of opening the presents under the tree, but of dipping into the stocking early and opening teeny gifts. Trinkets and gems, requisite toothbrushes and bars of soap all nestled into the hanging holiday sock. And beyond the usual mom-approved sundries, there were the beauty products. Oh, those blessed jars of coveted creams and luxurious lotions, of blushes and sample size lipstick – the grown up equivalent of playing dress up. Today, Daniel Martin, make-up artist to the stars, and (as you all know) one of my favorite people in the world, shares his favorite beauty stocking stuffers. Cue the looks of glee and merriment! These are Christmas winners, indeed!

FROM DANIEL:

“I have to admit, one of my favorite parts about Christmas has always been stocking stuffers. It’s the one time you can really get creative with what you put in such limited space! From budget friendly gift ideas to luxury small goods, here are my favorite (and random) holiday gift ideas for the beauty maven in your family. Happy holidays!!”

  1. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Correcting Creme
  2. I have all my clients addicted to this stuff. This product steps in where concealers can’t give you that extra coverage you want. Use this for unwanted redness, pimples, and discolorations before foundation. This will last you forever, and a little bit goes a long way.

  3. JAO Goe Oil
  4. Anyone who knows me knows I’m addicted to this stuff. With 28 flower, plant, and fruit oils, this oil can be used all over the body (I even use it on the face) for deep hydration and moisture without the heavy weight.

  5. Honest Co. Organic Lip Balm Trio
  6. We all need lip balm love and these three flavors (packaged handsomely in its own box) are the perfect stocking stuffer!

  7. Make Up For Ever Instant Brush Cleanser
  8. I can’t begin to tell you how many women I know who don’t clean their makeup brushes. This cleans and purifies without overdrying or beating up your bristles. Quick and easy clean up. Your brushes will thank you!

  9. Dior Creme Abricot Fortifying Cream for Nails
  10. I just discovered this cult product and it’s basically magic cream in a jar! It’s not only great for your cuticles, but you can also use it on your lips and anywhere else you need more nourishment. It’s the perfect gift for that beauty junkie in your family.

  11. Foreo Luna Cleansing Brush
  12. I was a Clarisonic brush addict until I came across this new cleansing device. The big difference for me was how comfortable the silicone touch points are on this brush for my face versus the feeling of bristles from the Clarisonic. Both are great gift ideas—but for someone who is sensitive and needs a deep clean, this one is perfect.

  13. Sigma Beauty Brushes Mr. Bunny Essentials Kit
  14. What I love about this brand is that they really understand the use of each brush in their curated kits. This Mr. Bunny Kit is perfect for travel—a great selection of their top brushes for a full face application—and they’re vegan-friendly!
